Direct Label Printing (QZ Tray)

Learn how to send shipping labels straight to your thermal or normal printer with QZ Tray, without a print dialog.

With direct printing on, labels go straight to the printer you pick, with no print dialog in the browser. This requires the free QZ Tray app to be installed and running on your computer. Your printer choice is saved on that device only.

1. Open Printer Settings

Go to Orders and select at least one order that has a shipment. Open the "Etiket yazdır" (Print labels) menu in the bulk action bar and click "Yazıcı ayarları" (Printer settings). The same menu is also on the "Etiketleri yazdır" (Print labels) button after creating shipments in bulk.

2. Set Up QZ Tray

If the Label printer window says QZ Tray isn't running on this computer, follow the steps under Set up QZ Tray:

  1. Install and open QZ Tray using "Download QZ Tray", then download the certificate file using "Download Shipink certificate".
  2. Open QZ Tray's tray menu → Advanced → Site Manager. Select Allowed, click + → Browse, and select shipink-qz-certificate.crt.
  3. If QZ Tray shows Unrecognized Certificate, choose Yes. Approve the administrator prompt if one appears. Shipink should appear in Allowed.
  4. Return to the panel and click "Try again".

Note: If your browser is blocking the site from connecting to QZ Tray, allow access to apps on this device in the site settings (address bar), then try again.

3. Select Your Printers

  • Thermal printer: 1 label per page. Uses the normal printer when not set.
  • Normal printer: 4 and 9 labels per page (A4).

Your choice is saved on this device as soon as you pick a printer; "Done" closes the dialog. To turn direct printing off, use "Clear selection".

4. Print Labels

When you now pick a layout from the "Etiket yazdır" (Print labels) menu, labels go straight to the printer: 1 per page goes to the thermal printer, 4 per page and 9 per page go to the normal printer. The "Etiketi yazdır" (Print label) button in the order detail also prints 1 label per page.

If the printer can't be reached, the label opens in the browser as usual.
